ALLEN PARK — Calvin Johnson said he expects to play on Sunday in Pittsburgh even though he missed his second straight practice today (Thursday).
“Body’s feeling good, just have some maintenance issues I’m taking care of,’’ Johnson said after practice.
Coach Jim Schwartz won’t allow players to talk about injuries, but when asked if he anticipates he’ll play on Sunday he said, “Yeah.’’
Johnson has been dealing with a knee injury most of the season. He missed the game at Green Bay in Week 5.
“It’s all game related,’’ Johnson said. “It’s a 100-percent injury sport. You know it’s just maintaining your body, keeping healthy so you can play on Sunday.’’
