Lions wide receiver Nate Burleson is just itching to get back on the field but it won’t happen on Sunday in Chicago. Burleson has been ruled out for the big NFC North tilt against the Bears.
Burleson practiced all week and had no pain catching the football. He wears a kevlar brace to cover his left forearm which was broken in two places in a freak pizza-related accident on Sept. 24.
The danger for Burleson would be if he fell on the forearm.
Three players — DE Ziggy Ansah (ankle), nickel Bill Bentley (knee) and RT Corey Hilliard (knee) — were listed as doubtful on Friday’s injury report which was released at 4 p.m.
All other Lions are probable.
For the Bears, defensive end Shea McClellin, who broke Aaron Rodgers collarbone on Monday night, is doubtful with a hamstring injury. LB Lance Briggs, long snapper Patrick Mannelly and DT Jeremy Ratliff are listed as out on the Bears’ injury report.
Kickoff is 1 p.m. Sunday at Soldier Field.
