Detroit Lions: Ziggy Ansah, Corey Hilliard, Bill Bentley still out

ALLEN PARK — It was 39 degrees and party sunny — a perfect day for an outdoor practice in preparation for the Lions’ game at Chicago’s Soldier Field on Sunday.

No surprises among the missing today (Thursday).

Right tackle Corey Hilliard (knee), cornerback Bill Bentley (knee) and defensive end Ziggy Ansah (ankle) were all out. None of them have practiced at all this week which makes it seem unlikely they will be ready for Sunday.

Safety Louis Delmas was making his regular Thursday appearance at practice. He usually sits out the other days to rest his knee.

Linebacker Travis Lewis (ankle) who was out on Wednesday was back.

Wide receiver Nate Burleson practiced for his third straight day. It’s unknown if he’ll be cleared to play Sunday.

The long-range forecast calls for sun and a high of 48 in Chicago on Sunday.
