Detroit Lions tender restricted free agent offer to Jason Fox

The Lions tendered a $1.3 million restricted free agent offer to Jason Fox on Monday for $1.3 million. It was first reported by the NFL Network.

Fox, a fourth-round pick in 2010, is expected to compete to start at right tackle or right guard.

The Lions are also expected to tender an offer to restricted free agent defensive end Willie Young, a seventh-round pick from 2010.

Safety Amari Spievey is also a restricted free agent, but has not been tendered an offer. He sustained a concussion on Oct. 22 and was out for the remainder of the season. He has been cleared to return to practice.

The Lions also tendered offers to exclusive rights free agents — safety Ricardo Silva, wide receiver Kris Durham and fullback Shaun Chapas.

They’re expected to sign running back Joique Bell who is also an exclusive rights free agent.
