That loud noise you just heard was Lions’ fans breathing a collective sigh of relief upon the news that the Minnesota Vikings have traded wide receiver Percy Harvin to the Seattle Seahawks.
Always a threat, Harvin has scored three touchdowns against the Lions in his four seasons with the Vikings.
In 2012 he was held to three catches for 22 yards in the game at Detroit and didn’t play against the Lions in the game at Minnesota.
His last touchdown against the Lions came on Dec. 11, 2011, in a game when he had 10 catches for 69 yards. That matched his career-high receiving yards against the Lions which also included a game in 2010.
The Vikings will receive first-round and seventh-round picks this year and a mid-round pick in 2014 per FOX’s Jay Glazer.
