Detroit Lions draft: WR Justin Hunter visits

Justin Hunter visited the Detroit Lions practice facility on Thursday per the team web site.
The wide receiver out of Tennessee is 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds.

The Lions need to add to the receiving corps with the loss of Titus Young. Also, Ryan Broyles, who is coming off ACL surgery, might not be ready to start the season.

ESPN’s Mel Kiper rates Hunter as the third best wide receiver in the draft behind West Virginia’s Tavon Austin and Hunter’s teammate at Tennessee Cordarrelle Patterson.

Scout Inc. ranks Hunter as the 25th best draft prospect overall. ranks Hunter as the ninth best wide receiver in the draft and projects him to be drafted in the second round.

Mike Mayock, the NFL Network analyst doesn’t rank Hunter among his top five wide receivers.

In the 2012 season Hunter had 73 catches for 1,083 yards (14.8 yards per catch) and nine touchdowns.

The Lions have the fifth overall pick in the draft which runs April 25-27.
