Lions Fairley, Pettigrew, Delmas don't practice

ALLEN PARK — Nick Fairley and Brandon Pettigrew have not practiced all week after sustaining injuries on Sunday at Green Bay.

Neither was on the field for practice today (Friday). Also missing were Louis Delmas (knee) who practiced on limited basis on Thursday and Kyle Vanden Bosch who is likely taking a rest day.

Fairley injured his shoulder late in the game against the Packers. He sounded optimistic about playing Sunday when he talked to the media on Wednesday. When Corey Williams was placed on injured reserve this week, Andre Fluellen was signed. If Fairley can’t go it will be Ndamukong Suh, Sammie Hill and Fluellen rotating at defensive tackle.

Pettigrew injured his ankle Sunday and has been wearing an orthopedic boot. If he can’t go at Arizona, that would leave just Tony Scheffler and Will Heller at tight end. With  so many receivers done for the season (Nate Burleson, Ryan Broyles, Titus Young) Scheffler has seen many snaps as the slot receiver.

Delmas has been in and out of practice — mostly out — for most of the season following knee surgery on Aug. 7. He didn’t play at Green Bay on Sunday night, but started in the two previous games.
