Vanden Bosch does not practice; no other surprises
ALLEN PARK — Kyle Vanden Bosch did not practice today (Wednesday). The defensive end was on the field, but not taking part in drills. He practiced on Monday.
The veteran defensive end, who underwent neck surgery in the offseason, sat out last two weeks of camp. He said on Monday that was with the goal of being ready for the opener on Sunday at Tampa.
He was injured in the second preseason game.
Coach Jim Schwartz will talk to the media after practice. However, he's usually mum on injuries.
No other surprises at practice. Alphonso Smith was back at it. Nick Fairley and Jason Fox still were not practicing.
