Mike Bell only surprise inactive; Calvin Johnson, Titus Young are active
DETROIT — Running back Mike Bell is inactive for tonight against the New England Patriots in the third preseason game for both teams. He’s the only Lion who will be inactive who had not been ruled out on Friday.
Wide receivers Calvin Johnson and Titus Young are active. Not sure how many reps Johnson will get, he has been slowed in practice with a sore shoulder. Both were game-time decisions.
Those who were ruled out on Friday are: Jahvid Best, Kyle Vanden Bosch (sore shoulder), Jason Fox (foot), Nick Fairley (foot), Mo Morris (hand) and Alphonso Smith (foot).
Best sustained concussion in previous game, so he’s being kept out as a precaution.
Aaron Brown will start in place of Best, while Lawrence Jackson will start in place of Vanden Bosch.
