ALLEN PARK — Of the Lions’ three tight ends who have been injured, only Joe Fauria practiced on Wednesday in the portion open to the media. It was his first practice since he sprained his ankle in a freak puppy related incident. He has missed five games.
Eric Ebron (hamstring) was running along the sidelines, while Brandon Pettigrew (foot) was watching the tight end drills.
None of the three played in the Lions’ last game on Oct. 26 at London. Also, none of them practiced on Monday.
Coach Jim Caldwell said prior to practice that one or two of them wouldn’t come along as quickly as you would think obviously referring to Pettigrew and Ebron.
As expected, Calvin Johnson and Reggie Bush practiced. Both said today that they will play on Sunday.
Also, right tackle LaAdrian Waddle, who missed the last game with a concussion, practiced and expects to play on Sunday.
