Detroit Lions C.J Mosley returns from suspension

ALLEN PARK — Defensive tackle C.J. Mosley is back with the Lions following his suspension. Coach Jim Caldwell made the announcement on Monday.

Caldwell would not address reports that Mosley was suspended due to possession of marijuana as Chris Mortensen reported on ESPN on Sunday.

“None of those reports were released by us and I’m not going to comment on any of them,’’ Caldwell said at his weekly press conference.

Mosley was suspended for two weeks and sent home for London for breaking team rules.

Caldwell just did not want to address the Mosley situation other than saying he has returned to the team.

“It’s an internal matter, we’ve handled it as such, we’ve stated our case clearly and we’re moving forward,’’ Caldwell said

With Nick Fairley out with a knee injury, Mosley will likely start on Sunday alongside Ndamukong Suh.

Caldwell also announced that linebacker Kyle Van Noy has been activated. The rookie is coming off short-term injured reserve and Sunday will be the first game he’s eligible to play in.
