Reggie Bush can’t wait to get to work with the Detroit Lions.

 Now we know he’ll wear No. 21. 

 At his Wednesday press conference, Bush was unsure what his jersey number would be. He did know that No. 22, which he wore in Miami, was retired in Detroit thanks to Bobby Layne.  Also No. 20 was retired for Barry Sanders, Billy Sims and Lem Barney.

 Bush wore No. 5 at USC, but NFL rules won’t allow a running back to wear No. 5.

 So No. 21 it is.

 Today (Thursday) is Day Three of free agency. Not sure what will happen with Lions other than Chris Houston, who was re-signed on Wednesday, will have a press conference.

 Louis Delmas is still in the picture for the Lions, but he's visiting San Francisco today after meeting with the St. Louis Rams on Wednesday.
