Monday night game vs. Bears sells out in less than an hour
ALLEN PARK — Less than an hour after Lions' individual regular season tickets went on sale Wednesday morning, the Oct. 10 Monday night game against the Chicago Bears was sold out.
At that point just a few tickets were left for the Thanksgiving game against the Green Bay Packers.
Around 5 a.m., 400 or 500 people were lined up at the Ford Field box office even though tickets were available by phone or online, according to Lions president Tom Lewand.
“I think they’re voting with their pocketbooks and they’re making an investment in us and that’s an investment that we have to honor and respect. Now it’s up to us to deliver a return on that investment,’’ Lewand said.
The Lions announced late Tuesday night that Saturday’s nationally televised preseason game against the New England Patriots is sold out. That means it will be televised locally on CBS. Kickoff is 8 p.m.

Only read the headline. Pretty cool the Bears game sold out. Who are they playing anyway?
