Injury report: Calvin Johnson out again; Houston joins him on sidelines
ALLEN PARK — Calvin Johnson didn’t practice for a second straight day with a bruised shoulder.
The Lions wide receiver said it’s a day-to-day situation. He wouldn’t speculate whether he’ll be able to play in Friday’s preseason game at Cleveland.
Cornerback Chris Houston didn’t practice Monday and cornerback Eric Wright left practice early. Coach Jim Schwartz called both situations training camp groins and said neither is serious. DT Corey Williams left practice early with a rolled ankle, but that is not serious either according to Schwartz.
Quarterback Drew Stanton was back on Monday after sitting out on Sunday. He said he got hit in the elbow with a helmet during Friday’s game. It took a divot out of his right elbow, his throwing arm, and he needed a few stitches.
Sunday he was kept out as a precaution.
