Lions injury report: Pettigrew still out, Titus Young too
ALLEN PARK — Tight end Brandon Pettigrew missed his third straight day of practice with a tweaked ankle. It looks unlikely he’ll play in the preseason opener on Friday. Coach Jim Schwartz will release a list later Thursday naming all those who will not play for sure.
Also missing from Thursday’s practice was rookie WR Titus Young. It was his second day out. He’s got a leg injury that has forced him to miss most of camp.
RT Gosder Cherilus was back at practice which is a good sign after he missed a week of camp coming back from offseason microfracture knee surgery.
Also missing from practice were Aaron Berry, Randy Phillips and the usual suspects (Maurice Morris, Jeff Backus, Alphonso Smith, Nick Fairley, Jason Fox).
