BLOOMFIELD TWP. -- Lions coach Jim Schwartz was warmly welcomed as the guest speaker at the annual Oakland Hills Country Club caddies dinner on Thursday night.

The coach pulled out his golf-speak when addressing the Lions 1-5 start.

“We’ve hit the green but we haven’t been able to sink any putts,’’ Schwartz said.

But he assured those in attendance that the Lions would get it turned around.

With 10 games remaining, he said, “There’s no reason we can’t make a run.’’
