Report: QB Shaun Hill has broken forearm
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- And now Shaun Hill goes down and out.
Injuries have been hurting the Lions since the first half of the opener at Chicago when they lost Matthew Stafford with a separated throwing shoulder.
Hill has been playing well in Stafford’s place, but was lost in the first half of today’s game at the Giants with a left arm injury. ESPN’s Chris Mortensen is reporting it’s a broken left forearm.
Drew Stanton stepped in and will finish the game.
The Lions are down 21-10 at the end of the third.
The bye next week could absolutely not come at a better time for Detroit. Presuming Stafford has no setbacks, he should be ready to start in two weeks against the Redskins at Ford Field.
