LB Bobby Carpenter works out for Lions
ALLEN PARK -- Linebacker Bobby Carpenter worked out for the Lions today (Wednesday).
The Lions have a shortage at linebacker with the injury to Zack Follett and the continuing healthy issues with DeAndre Levy (ankle, groin).
Carpenter, a first-round pick out of Ohio State by Dallas in 2006, was cut by Miami on Tuesday for poor special teams play. He was the starting nickel linebacker for the Cowboys last season and was traded to St. Louis in the offseason. He was cut by the Rams on Sept. 4 and picked up by Miami.
