Hill to start at Giants; Stafford third QB
AST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Shaun Hill will get his fifth straight start at quarterback for the Lions today vs. the Giants. Matthew Stafford will be the third quarterback, the first time he’s served in this capacity since he was injured in the opener.
Ashlee Palmer will start at middle linebacker as expected with DeAndre Levy (ankle, groin) and Landon Johnson (concussion) inactive.
WR Calvin Johnson, who was limited in practice all week with a shoulder injury, is active.
No other surprises on the inactive list. Also out for the Lions are RB Aaron Brown (hand), CB Nathan Vasher (nose/biceps) and DE Turk McBride (ankle).
Coach’s decisions are: T Jason Fox and DE Willie Young.
It’s a beautiful, sunny day at New Meadowlands Stadium, but the wind could be a factor.
