Detroit Lions camp notes: Calvin Johnson, Eric Ebron return to work

ALLEN PARK — The Lions had a walk-through/practice this morning (Friday) in preparation for Saturday’s preseason opener against the Cleveland Browns at Ford Field.

— Calvin Johnson who had an excused absence for Thursday’s practice was back at work.

— Eric Ebron, who missed Wednesday and Thursday practices with an undisclosed injury, was back at work today.

— Running back Joique Bell was absent. Jim Caldwell said it was for personal reasons.

— Caldwell would not announce who will not play on Saturday. Count Ziggy Ansah and TJ Jones out because there are still on the PUP list.

— Linebacker Corey Greenwood was released and defensive back Nate Ness, who was with the team in the spring, was signed.

— If you’re attending Saturday’s game be aware that I-94 will be closed in both directions between I-75 and the Lodge for construction for the M-1 rail project.
