Detroit Lions release first 'unofficial' depth chart

ALLEN PARK — The Lions released their first unofficial depth chart of camp in preparation for Saturday’s preseason opener against the Cleveland Browns at Ford Field.

Not any huge surprises, but also it’s unlikely the chart will be the same before the first regular season game on Sept. 8.

Ashlee Palmer listed as starting outside linebacker with rookie Kyle Van Noy, a second-round pick as the backup.

Also at tight end, Brandon Pettigrew is the starter with Joseph Fauria and Eric Ebron, first-round pick, as backups, followed by Jordan Thompson and Jacob Maxwell.

LaAdrian Waddle is listed as the starting right tackle with Corey Hilliard as the  backup. The rest of the offensive line is the same as last season.

Reggie Bush is No. 1 running back with Joique Bell second and Mikel Leshoure third. Theo Riddick is fourth and Steven Miller fifth.

Kris Durham, Kevin Ogletree, Ryan Broyles and Jeremy Ross listed as wide receivers behind Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate.

As expected starting safeties are James Ihedigbo and Glover Quin with Darius Slay and Rashean Mathis as the starting cornerbacks
.
Ziggy Ansah is listed as starting defensive end with Darryl Tapp as his backup. Ansah is on the physically unable to perform list while recovering from shoulder surgery in February.
