Detroit Lions: Nick Fairley, Ashlee Palmer return to practice; Jason Fox still out

ALLEN PARK — Nick Fairley and Ashlee Palmer returned to practice today (Friday) which is a sign they could be ready for Sunday’s game at the Arizona Cardinals.

Fairley has a shoulder injury and didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday. He was limited this morning — he didn’t participate in the sled drills with his linemates.

Palmer missed Thursday’s practice after a full-go on Wednesday with an ankle injury.

Jason Fox, who suffered a groin injury in Sunday’s game and couldn’t finish, has been out of practice all week. It seems unlikely he’ll play Sunday.

Don Carey, who has a hamstring injury, also has been out all week.

Defensive end Jason Jones and safety Louis Delmas, who both have lingering knee issues, were off for a maintenance day. Both are expected to play Sunday.

For the Cardinals, wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday with a hamstring injury but is expected to play.

Kickoff is 4 p.m. with the game televised on Fox. Sam Rosen and Heath Evans will call the action with Molly McGrath on the sideline.
