His Web site -- ZakarianFollett.com -- features the video of him getting to know a lion up close and personal. OK, it’s an old lion, but it’s a beast nonetheless.

“I’m getting some tips on what I need to do to become more aggressive, I can’t lose my edge. .. When I became a Detroit Lion I didn’t think it would go this far, but this is sweet,’’ Follett says during the video.

It’s not all just for show, Follett did the video to help raise money for the Cat Haven in Fresno, Calif.

Follett may not be the most high profile guy on the Lions’ roster, but you can bet more people are getting to know him in the offseason.
