Lions will play Patriots on Thanksgiving
ALLEN PARK — While it won’t be officially announced until early next week, the Lions will be playing the New England Patriots in the traditional Thanksgiving Day game.
According to a report by the New York Daily News, the N.Y. Jets will host the prime-time Thanksgiving game.
Because the Lions’ game will be on CBS, they must play an AFC opponent and the only two AFC teams on Detroit’s schedule for next season are the Jets and Patriots.
It should set up well with QB Tom Brady coming back to play in Michigan and teacher meeting student in Bill Belichick and Jim Schwartz.
