Larry Foote heads back to Pittsburgh
As expected Larry Foote is back with the Pittsburgh Steelers after agreeing to a three-year, $9.3 million deal according to ESPN.
Foote, who spent his first seven years in the NFL with the Steelers, became an unrestricted free agent after his one-year contract with the Lions expired.
It was a good move while it lasted to bring Foote back to his hometown and to bring some veteran leadership into a locker room that needed some fresh air -- the kind a guy like Foote could bring.
Coach Jim Schwartz on Friday said he was happy with his linebackers — Julian Peterson, Ernie Sims and DeAndre Levy. So it was no surprise the Lions didn’t bring back Foote.
