The Lions will hit the road for their first two games of the preseason schedule which was announced Wednesday.Exact dates will be announced later.
They will travel to Pittsburgh for the first game where they will face former Lions linebacker Larry Foote. That will be played Aug. 12-16. Detroit owns a 10-7 record against the Steelers in the preseason.
The second week they will play at Denver (Aug. 19-23). The Lions haven't played a preseason game at Denver since 1967 and are 2-2 against the Broncos in preseason action.
The Lions will host the Cleveland Browns in the third preseason game (Aug. 26-29), then finish their preseason schedule against Buffalo at Ford Field (Sept. 2-3).
Specific dates and times, along with ticket information, will be announced later.
