Starting quarterback named
ALLEN PARK Quarterback Daunte Culpepper will get the start Saturday against Indianapolis in the Lions third preseason game. Culpepper started the preseason opener while rookie Matthew Stafford started last week at Cleveland.
Coach Jim Schwartz said theres a good chance they will flip and have Stafford start the final preseason game on Thursday in Buffalo. But dont hold him to it.
Schwartz warned that nothing should be read into this decision. It has nothing to do with who will start in the regular season opener on Sept. 13 in New Orleans.
You can read whatever you want into it. Were trying to get guys reps, were trying to get them into a lot of different situations. We do want to get in a position where Daunte and Matt both get situations where theyre with Calvin Johnson and Bryant Johnson. Were going to rotate (receivers) and do things that way, Schwartz said this morning.
Culpepper will play until midway through the second quarter. Stafford will pick it up and play through the third and Drew Stanton will play the fourth quarter. Schwartz said there will be some fluidity there depending on the number of snaps each quarterback gets.

I'm curious as to how the defense will handle the Colts offense.
