ALLEN PARK —  Place kicker Swayze Waters (hamstring) is a no-go for Saturday’s preseason game, so the team brought in kickers for tryouts today.

 Wide receiver Dane Looker can kick and kicked field goals again at practice. Schwartz even let him try it from 53 yards out which he missed twice

“We’re giving Dane a lot of stuff, but that’s asking a little much of a position player to have to do double duty,’’ Schwartz said. “We’ll see what happens after this.’’

 Waters was signed to temporarily fill in for Jason Hanson who had minor knee surgery two weeks ago. Hanson’s timetable for a return is unknown.
