Is Lenon coming back?
The Lions just finished their first practice of Jim Schwartz's first mini-camp. Daunte Culpepper looks good as advertised. He shed 30 pounds in the offseason and was clearly the best quarterback on the field Friday. His throws were crisp, his arm was strong and he walked with a confidence.
More on that and other observations later, but we just walked out of the locker room and one thing stood out to me - Paris Lenon still has a locker. A Lions spokesperson said Lenon remains an unrestricted free agent and is not part of the team, but Lenon had a locker with his No. 53 on it and a pair of shoulder pads sitting on the top shelf.
Read into that what you will - I still think the Lions are in the market for a middle linebacker, though maybe not as high as I've been thinking - just figured I'd point it out.
Update: Forgot to add, no Lion is wearing No. 53 in mini-camp, but the team has given away the numbers of most of their other unrestricted free agents. Cody Spencer has Ryan Nece's old No. 55; Anthony Henry has Rudi Johnson's No. 32; Will Franklin has Keary Colbert's No. 19; and Matt Lentz (67) and Phillip Buchanon (31) have the numbers previously assigned to Andy McCollum and Stanley Wilson. Shaun McDonald's No. 84 also is vacant.

i really hope he doesn't come back unless absolutely necessary.
I really hope Lenon doesn't come back, I'm tired of small linebackers missing tackles, I want a big Linebacker that plays with a mean streak.
