Leslie Frazier      Vikings DC                 Jan. 9*

Other reported candidates with unknown interview dates: Mike Mularkey, Falcons OC; Ron Rivera, Chargers DC; Rex Ryan, Ravens DC

There were reports late last week that he pulled his name from consideration for the Lions job, then reports last night that he actually interviewed on Monday. Using that timeline, I'd say there's no red flags and simply the first report turned out to be incorrect.

I'll say also I have not independently confirmed Garrett's interview, though I know Martin Mayhew and Tom Lewand were unreachable Monday by certain NFL people because they were attending to other business matters, presumably an interview.

Red flags or not, I consider Garrett a longshot for the job. I think the Lions will end up hiring someone with a defensive background, and that's not all bad considering five of the eight teams left in the playoffs had top-seven NFL defenses this year.
