Paula Pasche, a veteran sports writer, covers the Lions for The Oakland Press. What's the point? You'll just spout the usual koolaided hype about the "Lions potential" -- which in itself is an oxymoron -- while 3 or 4 of the usual sappies jump in with their inane questions and foolish hopes. There was a time when a politician got rightfully raked over the coals for trying to build a "bridge to nowhere". Slice them and dice them however you want, but the Lions pretty much fall into the same category. Always have and always will. It is obviously their destiny in life to be losers. Just see it for what it is and accept the inevitable. To think or dream otherwise is nothing short of pure folly.
