The Detroit Lions will join several other NFL teams in allowing fans a close-up view of the players leaving and entering the locker room on game days.
The team announced a long-term deal with MGM Grand on Tuesday to build a space at Ford Field. The MGM Grand Detroit Tunnel Club will be adjacent to the Lions locker room and will accommodate more than 100 fans during home games and stadium events.
Also the lower bowl in the west end zone will be extended to include field level seating for tunnel club season members.
“Season members and guests will experience high energy and pronounced interactivity with Lions players throughout game day,” Lions president Tom Lewand said in a statement. “They’ll be right there when the players are coming in and out of the locker room for pregame, halftime and postgame. That type of engagement can’t be replicated anywhere else.”
