With rookie minicamp behind them, the Detroit Lions have signed 31-year-old wide receiver Lance Moore.
Offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi knows Moore from the years they spent with the New Orleans Saints including the Super Bowl championship team from the 2009 season.
Moore spent nine seasons (2005-2013) in New Orleans. He was signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers for the 2014 season where he played in 14 games with 14 catches for 198 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
For his career he has 360 receptions for 4,479 yards and 40 touchdowns. He originally was signed as an undrafted rookie out of Toledo by the Cleveland Browns.
On Tuesday, the Lions also signed rookie running back Desmond Martin (Wayne State) who was a tryout at the minicamp over the weekend.
The Lions have a history of finding undrafted players and give them a good chance at making the 53-man roster.
