ALLEN PARK — Defensive end Ziggy Ansah missed practice Wednesday with a knee injury. He was one of three who didn’t practice at all.
Also, linebacker Travis Lewis (quad) and LaAdrian Waddle (calf) did not work out. All three were on the field.
Those who had limited practice include Joique Bell (knee), Nick Fairley (biceps), James Ihedigbo (neck), George Johnson (groin), Montell Owens (hamstring), Cassius Vaughn (ankle) and safety Don Carey (hamstring).
It was a step in the right direction for Carey who hadn’t practiced at all in weeks.
With so many injuries in the secondary, he’d be a great help if he could play on Sunday against the Packers. Carey is versatile enough to be able to play nickel if needed.
Ihedigbo said that he is day to day. He would like to play on Sunday but doesn’t know if he’ll get clearance.
