ALLEN PARK — Even though Reggie Bush expects to play on Monday he did not practice Thursday.
The Detroit Lions running back was one of seven Lions who were sidelined for the first practice in preparation for their Monday Night Football game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Bush injured his calf in practice last week, then slipped in the snow in pre-game warmups Sunday and aggravated it.
Others missing Thursday were: Darius Slay who had knee surgery on Friday; Chris Houston; Ezekiel Ansah who injured his shoulder Sunday; Louis Delmas who routinely sits out the first practice each week; Israel Idonije; and John Wendling.
LaAdrian Waddle, who had to leave Sunday’s game with an elbow injury, was back at work.
Calvin Johnson, who has been nursing a knee, practiced.
This will be the Lions’ first Monday night game at Ford Field since Week 5 of the 2011 season when they beat the Chicago Bears 24-13 to boost their record to 5-0.
