Detroit Lions: Calvin Johnson returns to practice for 2nd straight day

ALLEN PARK — Calvin Johnson returned to practice for the second straight day today (Thursday).

Johnson, who missed the Oct. 5 game at Green Bay with a knee injury, played a limited role in Sunday’s win at Cleveland. He had three catches for 25 yards.

He practiced Wednesday on a limited basis.

Louis Delmas (knee) practiced as he has the last few weeks on Thursday. He routinely does not practice on Wednesdays and Fridays to keep his knee fresh for Sundays.

Missing from Thursday’s practice were tight end Tony Scheffler (concussion), running back Theo Riddick (concussion), right tackle Jason Fox (knee) and wide receiver Nate Burleson (broken forearm).

Riddick was back on the field watching his teammates. His return to practice could be close.
