Detroit Lions Ndamukong Suh reaches settlement in Portland car crash incident

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has settled a lawsuit from a car crash in December 2011.

Suh wrecked his classic Chevy in his hometown of Portland, Ore., on Dec. 3, 2011, while he was serving a suspension for stomping on Green Bay’s Evan Dietrich-Smith in the Thanksgiving game.

A female passenger in the car had sued for $1 million. The amount of the settlement was not released according to the National Football Post.

No tickets were issued at the time of the crash.

Suh has not exactly had a stellar driving record during his time in Detroit. He was ticketed for failure to us due care and caution in Lathrup Village on Nov. 15 and that was at least his fourth traffic incident in the past year.

During his college days at Nebraska, he was cited for negligent driving after side-swiping several parked cars when he said he was swerving to avoid hitting an animal, according to reports.
