What's next for Louis Delmas and his knee?

ALLEN PARK — Bill Bentley’s season is officially over. The Lions announced today they placed the rookie cornerback on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.

This might not be good news for Louis Delmas who didn’t practice today (Thursday) due to a knee injury.

After practice on Wednesday coach Jim Schwartz was asked if there was a change in the long-term status of Bentley or Delmas and he said: “Both of them are probably the same. Both of them are day-to-day and they’re battling through some things that they’re working. Bentley’s shoulders and Louis’ knees.”

Less than 24 hours later Bentley was placed on IR.

Delmas is dealing with an injury to the same knee that underwent surgery on Aug. 7. Schwartz has been careful to say it was not a re-injury but he’s not specific on what it is.
