It's a mostly healthy Detroit Lions bunch at practice

ALLEN PARK — Defensive tackle Corey Williams was the only player who didn’t participate in Detroit Lions practice today (Thursday) during the portion open to the media.

William is recovering from minor knee surgery and is not expected to play on Sunday at Philadelphia. He also missed the game against the Vikings where Sammie Hill got the start.

Five players who were limited in Wednesday’s practice — defensive end Cliff Avril (back), safety Louis Delmas (knee), defensive tackle Sammie Hill (toe), tight end Brandon Pettigrew (knee) and safety Amari Spievey (groin) — were back on the field. The practice report at 4 p.m. will confirm if they had full or limited practice Thursday.

The Lions (1-3) are preparing to play the Eagles (3-2) at Philadelphia on Sunday. Detroit has lost six straight games to the Eagles going back to the 58-37 Lions’ playoff loss in 1995.
