We won’t know how good these Lions can be until the end of December. No one expected them to start the season with a 1-3 record, so I think no one knows where they will go from here. That includes me. I projected a 10-6 record before the season started and now don’t quite know what to think.
I will say this about these Lions. After being in the locker room immediately after the loss to the Vikings and again on Monday, there are a few good signs.
They are angry at themselves.
There is no finger pointing.
There is no sign of panic.
All good signs.
Nate Burleson said they need to play with violent passion. Rob Sims said they used to play with reckless abandon and need to get back to that.
They’re going to have to prove to us all, that an attitude adjustment and taking advantage of every opportunity will lead to wins.
I will say this too. After having been around this team for years, there is a difference with this 1-3 start. I don’t know where that will lead them, but I’m convinced these are not the same old Lions.
