Detroit Lions won't file tampering charges against Ravens

The Lions will not file tampering charges against the Baltimore Ravens after owner Steve Bisciotti told season ticket holders in a conference call that Haloti Ngata might return in 2016.

The Ravens traded Ngata to the Lions on the first day of free agency for fourth- and fifth-round draft picks. It was  move the Ravens had to make because of salary cap implications.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Bisciotti said: “I respect Haloti. I had a wonderful conversation with him after he was traded. We are going to miss him, but I haven’t heard anything about him getting an extension from Detroit. As far as I know, he could be a free agent a year from now, and we may be watching the second coming of Haloti Ngata.”

The Lions issued a statement on Thursday: “The Ravens have reached out to us concerning the comments made yesterday by Steve Bisciotti regarding Haloti Ngata. We appreciate both the Ravens’ professionalism and the context in which Mr. Bisciotti’s statements were made. We consider the matter to be a non-issue.”

The Lions also did not file tampering charges against the Miami Dolphins when details of a Ndamukong Suh deal were released before the start of free agency.

Also on Thursday the Lions brought in wide receiver/returner J.J. Nelson for a pre-draft visit. He had the fastest 40 time at the NFL Combine. On Wednesday, wide receiver Breshad Perriman, son of former Lion Brett Perriman, was in for a visit.

I heard the story bout mayhew watching film on him and blah blah I don't believe that story lol
