DETROIT — Joe Fauria will start at tight end for the Lions today against Tampa Bay instead of Brandon Pettigrew. It’s Fauria’s first start this season. He started two games in 2013 as a rookie.
Defensive tackle Caraun Reid is out. The rookie was added to the injury report on Saturday with an illness.
C.J. Mosley will start at defensive tackle again for Nick Fairley who remains out. Expect Andre Fluellen to get more snaps with Reid out. Also defensive tackles Jason Jones and Darryl Tapp cam move inside.
For the first time since Week 3, the Lions’ offense will have its full load of skilled players today against the Tampa Bay Bucs.
Running back Reggie Bush, who has missed three straight and five of the last seven, is active. His explosiveness has been a missing element in the offense since he sprained his ankle several weeks ago.
FIVE KEYS FOR THE LIONS AGAINST THE BUCS
Other inactives for the Lions: Wide receiver Ryan Broyles, defensive end Larry Webster, offensive tackle Garrett Reynolds; guard/center Rodney Austin and quarterback Kellen Moore.
