Detroit Lions — Calvin Johnson, Joique Bell remain out; Vaughn back at work

ALLEN PARK — Calvin Johnson (ankle) and Joique Bell (concussion) did not practice Thursday. It was the second-straight day each had missed.

Last week Johnson only practiced on Friday in limited fashion and was able to play on Sunday. He said on Wednesday that his ankle felt better than it did at that point last week.

Bell was concussed in Sunday’s game and has not been cleared to practice.

Also missing from Lions practice on Thursday were Joe Fauria (ankle), Travis Lewis (quad) and Theo Riddick (hamstring). Fauria is still on crutches after a household incident involving his pup, Lil Rufio, eight days ago.

Cornerback Cassius Vaughn (ankle) was participating in the individual drills portion that was open to the media. It was his first practice since he injured his ankle in practice the week before the second game.

If you missed it earlier on Thursday, safety James Ihedigbo was fined $16,000 for a hit on Jets quarterback Geno Smith.
