Detroit Lions — Ihedigbo, Don Carey remain out of practice

ALLEN PARK — Safeties James Ihedigbo and Don Carey did not practice again today (Thursday). Both have been out for more than a week.

Carey reportedly has a lingering hamstring injury.

Ihedigbo talked to the media on the weekend and said it was just rest. He would not be specific about his injury but said he expected to play in the opener on Monday night against the N.Y. Giants at Ford Field.

Glover Quin today said if Ihedigbo can’t play on Monday, he’s confident in all the safeties in the room. If Ihedigbo doesn’t play, expect Isa Abdul-Quddus to start.

The team’s first injury report will be issued at 4 p.m., today.
