Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is engaged to his long-time girlfriend Kelly Hall. They met while in school at Georgia where she was a cheerleader and he, of course, was the Bulldogs’ quarterback.

Hall made the announcement via Twitter (@KellyBHall) with an Instagram photo of the two of them eating ice cream with a large diamond on her left ring finger. 

Hall graduated from the Oakland University nursing program in December.

Stafford, 26, will be entering his sixth season with the Lions.
