Calvin Johnson, Chris Houston among 7 missing from Lions practice

ALLEN PARK — Seven of the Lions didn’t participate in practice today (Wednesday).

Calvin Johnson (knee), Louis Delmas (knee) and Amari Spievey (concussion) stretched with the team, but did not move on to individual drills.

Cliff Avril (concussion, back), Chris Houston (ankle), Corey Williams (knee) and Erik Coleman did not participate at all. Coleman finished Sunday’s game so it’s uncertain why he was absent.

Kyle Vanden Bosch, who routinely takes Wednesdays off as a rest day, was participating fully in the portion open to the media.

The Lions (4-5) host the Green Bay Packers (6-3) on Sunday at Ford Field. The Packers are 11-1 overall and 5-1 at Ford Field with Mike McCarthy as coach.
