Detroit Lions sign undrafted QB Kellen Moore
ALLEN PARK — The Lions were in need of a third quarterback and reportedly got one when they signed undrafted free agent Kellen Moore out of Boise State.
Moore, a coach’s son, was named the best college quarterback in the country by the Touchdown Club of Columbus.
The knock on his was his height (6-foot) and weight (197 pounds). He lacks scramble ability. His numbers are likely inflated by the mid-major competition.
Moore, who some call a football junkie, will have a chance to win the third quarterback spot behind Matthew Stafford and Shaun Hill.
Following Saturday’s draft the Lions were hitting the phones to sign undrafted players.
They also signed Derek Dimke, an Illinois placekicker.

A poor selection. They should have brought in RB Polk as depth.
