Lions QB Shaun Hill to start; Delmas out at Dolphins
MIAMI GARDENS -- Quarterback Shaun Hill will start for the Lions today against the Dolphins. It’s his first start since he broke a knuckle on his index finger of his right/throwing hand on Thanksgiving.
Drew Stanton, who has won two straight as a starter, will back him up. Stanton injured his left shoulder last week in the win at Tampa.
C.C. Brown will start at safety in place of Louis Delmas, who sustained a concussion last Sunday at Tampa and is out. This is not a surprise. He was listed as doubtful on the injury report.
Matthew Stafford (shoulder) was put on injured reserve on Friday.
Other inactives: RB Aaron Breown, DE Barry Turner, T Tony Ugoh, G Donald Thomas and DE Willie Young.
