Kid Rock to perform at half-time of Lions Thanksgiving Day game
Even with all of his success Kid Rock never, ever forgets his hometown roots. So it makes perfect sense that he will perform at half-time of the Thanksgiving Day game (Nov. 25) when the Lions host the New England Patriots.
The announcement was made Tuesday.
Kid Rock, who lives near Clarkston, will be part of the 2010 United Way Thanksgiving half-time show. He will sing his new song and album title track "Born Free.’’
Kid Rock, whose real name is Bob Ritchie, was given a game ball on Oct. 10 after the Lions won their first game of the year, beating the Rams. Kid Rock had purchased 500 tickets to the game for the National Guard and Paralyzed Veterans Association.
He has a history of giving back to the community and has made several trips overseas to perform for the troops.
