Cherilus grew up in Haiti
The horror of the earthquake in Haiti continues to grow as death estimates range up to 500,000. Its incomprehensible. Over the next days well hear of those who have relatives and friends who live there. Its difficult to imagine what it must be like to not know what has happened to those you love.
It has to be a tough day for Lions starting right tackle Gosder Cherilus who was born in Haiti in 1984 and lived there until he was 14. Even though he moved to Massachusetts and played at Boston College, he has never lost his Haitian accent.
Reportedly Lions defensive end Cliff Avril has relatives in Haiti too.
Were trying to reach both players and get their comments on the earthquake. Stay tuned.
